Andrew Feinblatt sets stage for Max-Wellness debut at Easton Town Center
October 2011
Andrew Feinblatt of Cincinnati, OH-based OnSite Retail Group orchestrated an exciting opportunity for client Max-Wellness in the Midwest’s premier retail development, Easton Town Center, in Columbus, Ohio. The deal, which took over a year to come together, resulted in the first expansion store outside of the company’s initial four prototype stores in suburban Cleveland and Florida. The partners behind Easton, The Georgetown Company and Steiner + Associates, known for being very selective in their choice of retail tenants at Easton, weren’t initially convinced Max-Wellness was the right fit for the iconic 1,800,000 square foot mixed-use development. But the unique new retail concept, however, impressed the partners and allowed Feinblatt to negotiate a deal in which the new 5,000 square foot Max-Wellness store not only is the anchor tenant in a new phase of Easton Town Center, but its prototype inspired much of the design for the new 18,000 square foot building.
Max-Wellness, through its retail stores and online presence, features an unsurpassed selection of over 7,000 comprehensive health care products and services for individuals of all ages through each phase of their life. Max -Wellness' extensive offerings enhance living, help prevent illness and treat health issues, and many of their unique products are not available in typical drug and general merchandise stores. Max-Wellness continuously adds new products and services to its line-up ensuring that Max-Wellness customers have access to the latest innovative products.

Max-Wellness started with four prototype stores in the Cleveland suburbs and Florida last year, and the store at Easton Town Center marks the first expansion. The privately held company did not disclose first-year revenue. Not much is changing from the prototypes, except that the chain will emphasize its price-matching guarantee.
The store is like the retail side of a pharmacy combined with a supplements store, selling a range of products to prevent or treat illness, from energy bars to diabetic test strips to orthopedic braces to wheelchairs. Sales staffers carry iPads loaded with the company’s Max-Answers app, which walks through various questions about symptoms to recommend products. The company said the algorithm is based on medical research.
Feuer said he wanted to create an all-inclusive selection for aging boomers pursuing healthier, longer lives.
Max-Wellness recently rolled out smaller in-hospital stores in the Cleveland area, aimed at selling home-care products needed by discharged patients.

Eric Abroms represents Pure Barre in latest expansion
September 2011
Interested in a transformed body and a clear head in just one hour? Beginning in October, northeast Cincinnati residents looking for a total body workout will soon have an exciting new fitness studio to visit. Eric Abroms of OnSite Retail Group recently represented new Pure Barre franchisee, Janna Williams, in a new lease at Deerfield Towne Center Village Square on Deerfield Road, near Regal Cinemas. The new studio, set to open October 19th, focuses on the Pure Barre Technique, which as explained in the company’s website is a total body workout that burns fat and produces lifted seats, toned arms, thinned thighs and flat abs by fusing elements of ballet, pilates and weights in a 55-minute intense session.
The Pure Barre Technique utilizes a ballet barre on which individuals perform small isometric movements set to music. The low impact technique protects joints, since no bouncing or jumping is involved. The result is an effective, efficient and safe workout where participants typically see positive changes in their bodies after 10 classes. Following each strength section of the workout, participants undergo a stretching session in order to condition muscles without building mass. Women fighting the battle of the bulge are excited to hear the workout targets the areas of the body that are typically the toughest: abs, hips, seat and arms. The workout is also mentally therapeutic, like yoga and meditation, as each session requires concentration which blocks out life’s stress for the hour-long workout.
The new studio in Deerfield Township marks a return to the Cincinnati area for Monroe, Ohio native Janna Williams. Growing up, Williams was very active in dance and soccer, starting her dance training at the age of 3 at the Academy of Dance Arts. Williams danced through high school and also played on a state championship select soccer team. She later earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky where she was a member of the competition dance team. After graduating from U.K., Williams taught special education for six years and earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University. Williams had her first Pure Barre experience in Lexington, KY, and quickly became convinced of its benefits of mind and body.
Williams’ new studio will be the third Pure Barre location in the Cincinnati area following studios in Oakley and Ft. Wright, KY. Pure Barre, founded in 2001 by choreographer, dancer and fitness guru, Carrie Rezabek Dorr, now has over 70 locations in 22 states.

Discount Retailers Filling Up Vacant Space - Tom Demeropolis of the Cincinnati Business Courier quotes Eric Abroms of OnSite Retail Group
Business Courier - by Tom Demeropolis
Date: Friday, July 1, 2011, 1:50pm EDT
Retail space is being gobbled up by discount retailers.
The trend of discount retailers back filling space that emptied during the recession spans the nation and the Cincinnati market is experiencing it, as well.
Business Courier subscribers can read about a new-to-market discount retailer
signing leases for two stores and looking for at least two more in this week’s print edition.
Eric Abroms, partner/broker with retail brokerage firm OnSite Retail Group in Sycamore Township, said discounters like TJX Cos., Inc. see the Tri-State as a growth market. He’s been doing a lot of work finding spots for its Marshalls, Home Goods and T.J. Maxx locations in the market.
“These retailers are doing very well today,” Abroms said.
And while they may not be top-tier retailers, they represent a segment that is growing as the economic recovery has slowed. Abroms said TJX Cos. (NYSE: TJX) has opened more stores in the past two years than in any two-year period in the company’s history.
The story in Cincinnati is being played out in other parts of the nation, as the Wall Street Journal reports.
While these discounters have performed well during the recession, with shoppers tightening their belts and trading down on everything from shoes to soda, Abroms said the plan for discounters is to keep these customers after the economy picks up.
“They plan to gain them with customer service and keep them as time goes on,” he said.
